Training courses
Every session I deliver is shaped around your organisation, your team, and your learners. Below is an overview of what I cover. If you can't see the subject you need, just ask.
Leadership and personal development are the sessions I most enjoy delivering. I focus on what makes managing people and services easier: a clear vision, honest communication, and a culture where people feel valued and able to grow. I shape each session around the people in the room and the challenges they face.
These are the subjects I feel most strongly about, because they rest on the values that underpin good care: dignity, respect, choice, and rights. I make sure the information is accurate and up to date, and I draw on my own experience while encouraging groups to share theirs, so the learning stays connected to real practice.
I began my career supporting adults with learning disabilities, and my interest in psychology and mental health has stayed with me ever since. These sessions help teams build their knowledge and confidence, so that the person being supported stays at the centre of everything they do.
Mandatory training has a reputation as the dreaded refresher. I aim to make these sessions clear, current, and engaging, so people leave knowing what to do and why it matters. These subjects apply well beyond care settings, and I have delivered them in other sectors too.
First aid is a practical skill, so these sessions are hands-on and run with groups of up to 12, which means everyone can take part and practise with confidence.
Alongside training, I offer internal quality assurance and assessment support, drawing on my experience and qualifications as a trainer, assessor, and IQA. Get in touch to talk through what you need.
If you have a training need that isn't listed above, I can develop a bespoke session around it. I've created custom training across a wide range of subjects within social care, management, and personal and professional development.
Sessions are for up to 12 learners, and there is no minimum booking. I'm usually booked around four to six weeks ahead, so please get in touch early.
